Different types of house baked breads and pastries were on display, simple yet charming country style decor, shelves with local products and an open kitchen give this place a lot of character.
Menu is simple with a farm to table approach. They only use the best ingredients, they have their own herb garden in the backyard. Some of the items we tried are the eggs in a frame with bacon bechamel, the eggs in a jar with purple potatoes, gruyere cheese, bacon and creme fraiche, the croque monsieur with a thick creamy bechamel and the bacon and onion quiche baked a la minute. They also serve cheese boards and gravlax platter that looked so decadent.Bread and pastries include: olive bread, baguette, bagels, pain au lardon with chunks of bacon, brioche, pain au chocolate, and the traditional french canelé.
They have indoor and outdoor seating available. Outside you will find picnic tables and a hammock under some shade where you can take a power nap after you feast.
Bobs Well Bread staff is really friendly and they have been featured in Bonne Appetite magazine and Travel and Leisure Magazine that named them one of the best bakeries in small towns.
